Pools in late December?

[Summer2018]

We have never been in December but are considering a trip for the week between Christmas and New Years. I assume all resort pools will be closed then, but is that accurate?

We went December 24, 2008 - January 1, 2009. It was 87 degrees midday the entire week. We swam every day.

I have heard of others going in December needing long pants and hoodies.

I would pack for both cool and hot temperatures. Maybe you will get lucky like we were and be able to swim.
