Moderate pools and WL pool at Easter weeks.

We thought WL pool was always crowed (Easter weeks), used early in the AM and late in the PM, and had duck visitors using it as a bathroom.

The CSR pool is very large : 120' by' 90' by about 4.5', but just a large rectangle with little shade to sit in a chair. SO I do not think WL will suit our family of 4 (teen kids).

POFQ has nice theming - the POFQ pool looks like it may be bigger than WL's pool. Is that true ? Is the POFQ pool larger than WL's pool ?

Also from POFQ you can use the POR pool's (main and quiet).

Could someone tell me more about the size of the POFQ pool ?
Any pro's or con's to the POFQ pool ?

Thank you ! :upsidedow

When I stayed at POFQ, I found the pool to be warm, but kind of small. The dragon slide is fun to look at, but it is small. As it is the only pool at POFQ, I would think it would be packed during the busy times of year.

I agree with the above poster and as far as POR pool it is larger then WL and well designed but it will be crowed during busy season even with all the quiet pools. Also yes you can use the pools at both resorts as long as you are a registered guest at one of the two since they are sister resorts.

yeah the POFQ pool is bigger than the WL pool and you can use the POR pool as well.... I LOVE the WL.. my favorite resort.. but i dont really like the pool.

Much more than a rectangle.

That is some awsome pics of the CSR pool. Our family will be eating there at the Pepper Market in September and will do a little pool hopping there after our meal. Can't wait!!!

With teens, I would totally pick CSR just because it seems more big-kid friendly. Huge pool with lots of room.....big slide (which I assume the older kids would enjoy much more).....arcade right there next to the pool......sand volleyball court.....huge hot tub. Plus, with the many conventioners that stay at this resort, the pool won't be nearly as crowded during the day.

Also, there appears to be plenty of shaded areas to lounge on the east side of the pool.

The reason the pool has straight edges, rather than curvy edges, is because it's meant to resemble a large, archeological Dig Site. I'm just mentioning this because even though you may perceive the pool as just being a big, boring rectangle, it seems to me to be really well themed. The straight edges may not be as much eye candy when it comes to pools (although the temple provides quite a bit of eye candy), but I think the teens would much prefer the set up of the Dig Site over the others.:thumbsup2

Do they check your room card at the moderate pools? I have never seen it posted anywhere that anyone has witnessed this?

Pool hopping when eating at a resort? Can you do that? We've been three times and have never considered going to a pool other than at the resort we're staying at. Is that acceptable?

Irregardless of whether or not they check...no, you're not allowed to do this. There are signs right at the pool stating that it is for the use of guests staying at that resort only. Sorry. If you want to swim in the nicer pools, you really need to pay the fees & stay at that resort.
