Pools at ASMusic

My DH, D-aunt and I are going to WDW for free dining in September and staying at the ASMusic. We plan on taking a break at the hotel in the afternoons. Will the pools be less crowded in the afternoons or at night after the parks have closed?

When we went in early October the pools were never "empty" it did seem as though the main pool was busier in the afternoon. But while we were there they would show a movie at night by the pool so the pool area was pretty busy at night.
The Piano pool was alway pretty quiet though.
