My family will be staying at the Poly Dec. 19-25th. Are the pools used during this time period? I hear that the pools are heated, but what about getting in and out of the pool? Are many people out there this time of year?:cool1:

Depending on where you live it can be considered a heat wave at 50, like for us we were swimming alot each december trip. But for southern state people it would be too cold.

The weather can go from 65 to 35 depending on the day, so take the suits and see what works for your weather and family. Getting out was a bit chilly but we hustled back to our rooms as soon as we were done.

Definately take the suits....

Always people in the pool.....

In cold weather....bring a robe;)

Well, when we went in May it was really really warm outside and the pool was freezing. I was kind of expecting it to be a little warmer. But, I would think that they would heat the pool during the winter. Who'd want to swim in freezing cold water?

We were in WDW Nov. 30 to Dec.4 2005. It was cold at night but low 70's a couple of days. I took DS to the pool one afternoon, and it wasn't bad. The water was warm. It was cold when you got out, thogh. He went on the waterslide several times, but it was too cold for us adults to get out of the pool. The day we left, though, it was 82 (figures), so definitely pack your suits,as well as hats and gloves, so you can be prepared for anything!
Have fun!

We swam every day last Decmber, sometimes not very long. There was always people in the pool, mostly people from the north like us:thumbsup2

We were at WL last Dec 10-17th. We did not swim. It was low 70s in the day not warm enough for us. But we used the hot tub.

Thanks for sharing. The suits are coming along with the jackets. Does the Poly provide robes or do we need to bring our own? :upsidedow

If it is 40 degrees out and you get out of the pool, you'll be freezing your butt off. The pools are heated.

I swim all year, but if it is really cold I do not swim.

If you're staying in a club level room, you get a robe. If not, you don't.
