Pool toys....???

We are going to be spliting our stay in May between BC and the Poly.

Our 3 year old likes float rings and arm floaties.... are these allowed at SAB and the Volcano pool?? What else?? If anything?

I have never been to the poly so I don't know about their pool policy, but I know SAB does rent iner-tubes to guests, but I am not sure they allow you to bring your own (I have never seen anyone with their own). I doubt they will have a problem with arm floaties, but they may want a parent to stay with the child who has the floaties just to make sure nothing happens to him (or her).

I don't know if your 3 year old will have a desire to go down the waterside, at SAB, but they will not allow him down unless he is able to swim on his own. I.E. without floaties. But there is a mini pool, at the entrance to the large waterside, meant for kids and it is equipped with a small slide.

I don't think SAB allows any other type of pool toy in the water, such as balls or noodles, probably because there is current in certain areas of the pool and the toys may get away.

Our twins were 3 in Oct when we were there and they used the arm floaties at SAB. They allowed them on the kiddie slide. My boys LOVED this. They still talk about the pirate ship slide. They also loved the kiddie pool area with the sand. The kiddie meal at the pool is served in a plastic bucket that worked great for playing in the pool and sand.

We were just at the AKL and there were lots of kids with floaties, life jackets etc... So I think it's safe to asume the policy is the same at the Polynesian.

SAB at the YC/BC rents large and smaller toobs, and noodles. I have seen children with the floaties, and my DD's always bring the water balls to play with, every year. No problem. You should be fine.
