Does anyone know if kids are allowed to use water blaster toys in the pools at Jambo and Kidani?

I have never seen water blaster toys being used at any Disney resorts so my guess is they are not allowed.

Don't they have mounted water guns at the Kidani pool in the play area around the corner from the actual pool?

As Deb & Bill pointed out, there are mounted water guns in the splash area at Kidani for kids to use. Both pools will likely be rather crowded in August, which would definitely make it difficult to use water blasters without accidentally blasting another resort guest.

Per the Moms Panel

Hi Moms! (and Dads!) Love the panel. We're at AKL Kidani from 4/12-19. Have 5,2, and twin 1 year olds. Are pool toys (noodles, bubbles, baby flotation things) allowed in the pools there? Best to bring them or are they available at AKL or DD? Thanks!

Hi Katherine! Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge offers floats and vests for guests. Pool toys are allowed in the Uzima Springs Pool, however, they are not provided. We find purchasing pool toys at Walmart or a local Dollar Store is very affordable and they often have Disney themed toys.

I would say if the kids only shoot each other they will be fine, however if they keep squirting other guests then they will be taken away. Also it would matter if they are small guns or one of those super shooters.

The condominium rules provide:

"Pneumatic floats or other items of similar nature, except for Board-approved floatation devices, are not permitted in the pools or whirlpools."

The Board approved flotation devices are those you can get at the resort.

As far as what is actually allowed, we have generally found over the years that you can bring things as long as they are not large and not used to disturb others. It is similar for coolers, a little one that holds six cans is fine (as long as they contain no glass containers) but one that takes two people to carry is not.

Generally, only soft pool toys are permitted. Last week at Bay Cove Pool a lifeguard inspected a plastic flying disc that a couple kids were playing with in the pool and told them it was not permitted because it was hard plastic rather than a soft material.

Thanks for all the replies! We go in August every year and the pool at Jambo actually was pretty uncrowded most of the time!
The blasters are those new styrofoam ones and the girls would only use them if there weren't other guests within range - so I guess I'll bring them along and let the kids know that there's a chance we won't be able to use them.
And yes, we do plan on heading over to Kidani at least once for the water play area!
