Just a question about the pools at FW? Can the kids bring in any pool noodles or pool toys? I figured they would be ok with their googles and a couple of dive sticks, but I'd thought I'd check before we leave Friday. Also, are we able (as "resort" guests) to go to any of the other wdw resorts and use their pools? Just wondering? We stayed at All Star Movies once and the kids really loved Mickey shooting the water out of his wand (or whatever). Not sure if we would go over, but I remember how chaotic it seemed there. I wasn't sure anyone would really notice.

Thanks,
Ruthann:thumbsup2

When we were there last month our friends daughter had flippers on they had bought from the trading post and the lifeguard said she couldn't have them in the pool. Masks, noodles and small toys didn't seem to get any attention.

No, this is not allowed. Guests can only use the pool at their own resort.

where do they expect you to use the flippers? The canals, the lakes?

I heard it was re-opening soon... honestly, the bus driver told me ;)

Scott, did you fight a fire with lots of smoke this weekend? That bus driver must have laughed when you got off the bus. I went over there last month and it was so broken up it didn't look like it would ever be able to be repaired. Unless WDW has decided to spend a fortune I doubt it can be re-opened. Not that I wish it wouldn't. I would love to go to River Country.

It was probably the same bus driver that told me that the Treehouses were going to be open to the public soon, and that Discovery Island was going to be made into an exclusive resort! :lmao:

I think Rhonda and I rode on the same bus together.

I did do a lot of spray painting over the weekend.

That part is somewhat true. There's going to be a ferry over to it for campers such as MrsGus06 and Stacktester since they visit so many times a year they wanted them to feel more at home and special. Tale has it Miss Sundee is getting her own cabin over there to stay in when Stack and MrsGus check in to make it even more cozy. Oh and of course she will provide a private sing a long each night.

I think someone needs to check the ozone in JAX today.

Oh Scott, it is a little hazy here today lol. If anybody could write a BS book it would surely be me lol. Really what happened is my A/C is out and I'm waiting on a repairman. It's 87 inside now and not getting any cooler. Maybe that's what made me halucinate the Discovery Island campsites lol.

If this guy doesn't get it fixed today I see my camper in my yard tonight and that is not BS. Thank god I have a camper.

Hopefully your a/c gets fixed real soon.......

We never had AC in the house until this summer, not that we need it a lot in PA but it has been a pretty hot summer for us. I have spent more than one night in the camper with that AC crankin. It also comes in handy when I have ticked off ftwildernessgirl.

I think I would also be plugging in the camper and letting it get cold!!!!

That's pretty old news. Jim Hill had some concept art for just such an attraction on his site a couple years ago.
