pool park and dinner can we do it all?

Hubby and I are going to DL prior to our cruise for just 1 night and then 3 nights afterward. We will be at PP and will get there around 130pm. We thought we might catch a quick swim so I can go down the slide! How long is the slide open at PP? We then will go to the park to get a look around ride some rides and stay until fireworks. I love the parades and fireworks. We then thought about going to the Rainforest Cafe for diner. How does 9pm sound or could I get there earlier?

I'm pretty sure (from hearing them every night they're going off. I'm local) that the fireworks are at 9:30 so if you wanted to see them in the park a 9:00 reservation for dinner wouldn't work. I couldn't tell ya anything about the slide though. I hoped I helped where I could!

The fireworks are generally at 9:25. The show lasts about 17 minutes, then you need to allow time to exit the park (in heavy crowds), walk up DTD and get to Rainforest. So I think a 10:00 p.m. reservation would work better. Note, you could also take the monorail from the station in Tomorrowland right into DTD very close to the Rainforest. However, after fireworks, the waits for the monorail can be long so it might be quicker to walk. If you do take the monorail from the park to DTD at that time or any other, note that as onsite guest you get to enter into a separate line. They give that priority to onsite guests. You will see the signs that direct you to that line or you can ask a cm.

You could always do RFC for a late lunch/early dinner in between everything else. Because everything at DL is close (the parks, the hotels, DTD) its easy to take a break and head over to Rainforest.

The slide will be open mid day, so around 1:30 would be a great time to use it. However, your room may not be ready until closer to 4. If that is the case, I dont know that I would want to swim without a place to take a shower and fix my hair after. If you wait until after fireworks, the slide will be closed.

Fireworks are usually at 9:25, so it would be close to 10 before you could get to rainforest. Seems like a pretty late dinner to me. You might consider breakfast there the next morning, before you head out on the cruise. Or dinner when you come back after the cruise.
