Just back from first trip to Vero Beach. It is a lovely resort, although the beach is quite small (I'm used to the Atlantic Ocean from New Jersey). The pool is great, but my DH and I were just wondering if anyone else gets sick of that same music they play - over and over and over again! I think we heard the same tape at least four times one day. Nothing against the Beach Boys but a little variety would be nice. Just wonder if anyone else agrees - LOL.

Not here! I really dig the tuneage at the VB pool! It's outta sight & groovy!I feel right at home in my hawaiian shirt and shorts and sandals with black socks!:jester:

I was at the pool from 12:00 to 3:00 and the DJ was great! Did not hear any music before he came on...? The whole pool experience was pleasurable due to the DJ.Sus:)PS I felt a little out of place as a single female no kids. DH was relaxing in the room.

When we went we stayed over the weekend and there was a DJ at the pool every day. He played some beach songs, but I finally had to request "Cocomo" (spelling?). It's one of my favorites when I go to Florida. We really enjoyed the music. DJ Tony played everything from the Beach Boys to Disney Tunes. I guess that we will have to stay over a weekday to hear the tape they play, but I do love beach music. But I do always bring my portible CD player when we go just in case.

SimbaSue,

Technically, I don't think you are a single female just because your husband is taking a nap! LOL!!

This has been an issue for us since day one. Nothing against the tape, but the weekend DJ is much better. I wish they would expand his duties to a daily routine. :D

one trip the DJ was too loud!
So I enjoyed the softer music this last trip in April

We just returned from OKW, and the complaint is the same for the main pool there. I heard the same tape over and over and over, from morning to late evening all 9 days!!!

We quickly found the "quiet" pools and learned what quiet means. It has nothing to do with kids or slides or anything else. It means they don't play any music!!!! I am one who generally just wants to veg when I am at the pool and read my magazine or book. Listening to the same muzak tape over and over again is very grating to the nerves!!! Just my (very) humble opinion.

When DH and I were checking out OKW last visit before deciding to buy DVC we were quickly tired of the constant and loud Jimmy Buffet music. To make matters worse, at the time the tape or sound system sounded a bit scratchy. Will CM's turn the volume down on pool music if asked or is there a standard volume that must be maintained all day?
