Skiwee1,

Do you read the posts before you type your own?. Look at post number 36. Thats 3 posts before yours.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

Have a nice day! :sunny: :wizard:

As a DVC member who has just returned from a stay at OKW this week, I can tell you that pool hopping is restricted this week even for us anyway so since this OP is asking about 4th of July it really is a non-issue at this point anyway if they want to hop legally :umbrella: :rolleyes1

In answer to the OP question though about good pools to hop to....CSR is a favorite of many,my family likes the pool at GF as we have little ones who like the jumping fountain and it's less crowded yet similar to the one at the Poly and I have to say, the new waterslide at OKW was pretty cool!

So for those who will be able to legally pool hop the rest of the year, those would be our picks. FWIW if you are NOT a DVC member staying on points, if you stay at the All star resorts in the values, they can all hop to each other's pools or if you stay at POR or FQ they can use each other's pools as they're considered "sister resorts" and are entitled to use the pools and amenities at each others resorts. So if you fit in to any of those catagories for your upcoming stay then go -- hop -- and Enjoy!! ;)

As I was just going to post prior to Denmark providing a photo of the signage. The signs state the exclusive use of that particular resort. So it would say Polynesian guests on the signs at the Polynesian pool, etc.

Also this is stated in the information sheets given to each guest at check in.

That is what I asked. And as for the information sheet you are given, NO one in my party even read that stuff. In fact, they would call me on my cell phone in the parks to ask me how to get from one ride to another. They never once picked up a MAP and read it to see where they were or where to go. It became the big joke really, me yelling LOOK AT THE MAP! Got on my nerves...never again will I travel with family!

The signs are very clear. They do not say pools are for resort guests. They name the specific resort that the pool is in. At the Poly there are signs EVERYWHERE that state the pool is for guests of the Polynesian only. Sounds pretty clear to me unless one is illiterate.

Actually what Safetymom said they said would NOT be clear, especially to someone that had never been to WDW before.....this does not make them "illiterate". That is all I asked her, does each sign say the exact resort name...which yes would be clear.

It is a shame that people find it necessary to put one another down like this. What good does a statement such as this bring? :confused3 Even if the poster is "just being honest," it is an unnecessary low blow. :sad2: I feel that statements that are made with the intention to criticize or demean in any way, compromise the integrity of these boards.

I just can't imagine those signs being any clearer unless perhaps one cannot read. It isn't a putdown. The signs name the resort. If one can't understand them them then they either cannot read or, and this is worse, they just don't care.

Very surprised that this thread hasn't been locked yet...safetymom is usually quite quick on this regard.

I think the OP has their answer so I am going to close this thread. Thank you to those that contributed helpful information.
