Pool hopping?

I read another thread about pool hopping, and I have a question. We are going to WDW at the same time as friends. Our friends are staying at AKL and we will be at POLY. We talked about meeting up at one of the pools during one of our afternoon breaks - too hard to try to do the parks together with the kids. Is this considered pool hopping if we visit them at AKL or vice versa? Thanks!

Sounds like kind of a gray area. The signs say that the pool is for that resorts guests only, but I would think if you were up front with the front desk, they would probably be fine with it.

This is the dreaded pool hopping question. You are going to get some people (namely the poolhopping police) who will tell you that hopping is not allowed under ANY circumstances. My advice is simple. Go ask the front desk when you get there. Unless it is real busy, they probably won't care. Remember, Disney employees are the final word on what is allowed, not a bunch of know it alls on the DIS boards. Good luck and have a fun trip.

Thanks for the input. I'll ask at the desk and have our friends do the same. I actually appreciate that they try to keep the pool for those of us who have paid for the resort. It will be a busy week when we are there.

I was also going to suggest asking at the front desk of each resort. Both have pretty large pools so you have a good shot that it will be ok. If not you could always consider one of the water parks.
