Pool Hopping

What are the general rules with regard to pool hopping when you are staying at the various resorts? How would you do it? Do they check your ID's? Is it easy to do? Is it worth the effort?Thanks for the help.

The general rule is that you must be staying at a WDW DVC resort on points in order to pool hop. basically, you need a room card with "DVC Member" printed on it.

beyond that, they only restriction is whether the pool you want to hop to is considered at capacity - so far only Stormalong Bay has been placed off-limits during Easter week.

hi: no charge for pool hopping. stormalong bay is a great pool for kids/young adults. you'd never get me on that slide, but my kids (14,20,22) all love it. it has a sand bottom in the pool. we'll have to check out the new poly pool once it opens too. the pics look really neat. happy hopping!

We're just back from the World, and yes the Poly pool is open and operating. Althought they were still working on the landscaping when we left.

Something strange about "pool hoppers." First let me say that I'm not a DVC member. We're considering it. We stayed at SOG this time and it was great. Anyway, we purchased our E-night tickets at the Poly. They gave me a "room key" that had "E-nights" printed on it, and "pool hopper" too. This is the ticket that you turn in for the arm band. I asked about it and the desk said that all their guests can now do that. This cast member was from China and her English was marginal, but the ticket said pool hopper. Maybe somebody out there knows something about this.

poly renters had pool hopping privies while construction was going on and landscaping continues. Since you got tix at poly, you probably got marked for hopping.

So if I want to pool hop as a DVC member I need to go to the desk and get a wristband?

No, the wrist band is for E-ride night at MK. For pool hopping, you just need you card-key that says DVC member.
