Pool hopping to BWV?

In April, we are thinking about spending the morning at DHS and we have an ADR at Beaches and Cream at 6:20 pm. Since It will be our second DHS day, we are thinking of leaving in the early afternoon and swimming at BWV, then heading to our ADR. Is this allowed for DVC members? Also, are there changing rooms near the pool for us to use?

As long as you are staying on points, and the pool is not 'full' that is okay with DVC.
Yes, you can change at the fitness center.

I am assuming you can still pool hop. Along the BWV pool area now, they have signs up that say use of the pool is restricted to BW guests and you must have magic bands showing that. And they are actually randomly checking some bands once in a while.

The is a bathroom by the walkway along the water also...we change there. We like to hop on our studio days, and we check with the guard, but truly in the early afternoon there are plenty of chairs available and the pool isn't that crowded (first week of June). I would hop to the DVC pool if the main pool was crowded.

Just keep in mind that there are no showers in the bathrooms. You will need to go to the gym which is near the Main pool. Have fun.

They were checking MBs at the BWV clown pool in Dec. and turning away people who weren't guests. The sign is there advising guests only but since the pool was virtually empty I was kind of surprised they were enforcing the guests only rule.

From the DVC website under perks:
When staying on your Membership at any Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World Resort, or Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you and any Guests staying with you are permitted to use most of the other Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool at the resort hotel at which you are staying) if they are not at capacity. If the pool you are visiting reaches capacity, you may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that Resort hotel.
Please check with a host or hostess at the front desk of the resort you wish to visit before you go to find out about pool-access availability.

You must present your Magic Band or current Key to the World card with your "DVC Member" designation on it to use the other select Resort hotel pools. Pool hopping is not available at Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Uzima Pool and Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas, the Lava Pool and leisure pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the pools at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Resort hotel pools may become unavailable from time to time due to capacity limitations. Due to the high occupancy that is expected, you and any Guests staying with you may not pool hop during the following dates*:

November 24 - 29 (Mon - Sat)
Dec 20, 2014 - Jan. 4, 2015 (Sat - Sun)
February 14 - 21, 2015 (Sun-Sat)
March 21 - April 5, 2015 (Sat - Sat)
June 27 - July 11, 2015 (Sat - Mon)
September 5 - September 7, 2015 (Fri - Mon)
November 22 - 29, 2015 (Sun- Sun)
Dec 19, 2015 - Jan. 3, 2016 (Sat - Sun)
*Other restricted dates may be added based on projected pool capacity.

As a reminder, please be mindful of the limited number of pool chairs available, and refrain from leaving towels or personal items on unoccupied pool chairs.

There are people that try to use the pool that are not DVC members and that has never been allowed although resorts have generally been pretty lax about enforcing that unless they were really busy.

I was there January 21. No problem, nobody checking. I was staying at Jambo House and pool hopped.
