Because DVC says "no".
I would guess that for BLT it is because of the small size of the pool compared to the number of units and AKL may be the same reason (even thought the pool is larger there are more units.
For Storm-Along-Bay it is becuase of the huge crowds at the pool most of the year from the resort guests (again if you think about the size of the pool compared to the number of rooms it serves it can't really hold more people at many times.
The rest of the quiet pools at the yacht and beach I am guessing becuase it is easier to say you can't hop to any of the pool at the resort rather than trying to define which pools are off limits as I have never seen more than a couple people at any of these pools.
That is just my opinion though- it could be for a totally different reason.
The BLT pool and the KV pool are much too small for the number of villas in their respective resorts.
I think the same could be said of the WL, SSR and OKW pools too. I'm sure Disney has some rationale but they have never shared it.
They used to say that AKL pool was off limits (even before AKV was built) because they couldn't have too much of a crowd disturbing the animals.![]()
As noted, all pools are off limits at the destinations in question. Unfortunately DVC has been inconsistent in their listing the info. The current listing on the website suggests it's less restrictive than it is.I believe you can hop at the yacht club and beach club hotel quiet pools. Just not the DVC pools there.
