Pool Hopping Privilege

I have read in some of the posts about restricting pool hopping privileges for DVC Members? I know the pool hopping is not allowed during Resort peak times but is it possible to be extended to a year round restriction?

DVC is always reminding us that pool hopping, just like the other discounts and special offers, are privileges and not requirements stipulated in our contracts. It is conceivable that DVC may do away with pool hopping, but I suspect that won't happen any time soon. They gainnothing other than our displeasure by eliminating pool hopping.

Since they've already limited it to avoid peak times, I suspect the most they'll do is expand the peak times - if necessary. But terminate pool hopping totally, I don't think so!

Remember that SAB is the main pool hopping attraction and that many of us feel that pool hopping to that location will cease once BCV opens next fall. No way can that pool stand the extra traffic during a large part of the year.

I guess with the announced closing of the second moderate resort, pool hopping may be curtailed as well. Another resort closed, so reservations will be shifted to other resorts thus increasing the open resorts pool use.

I know that pool hopping is something that many people look forward too and it seems such a small issue to take away but I understand. All we can do is wait out this slow period and go from there.

Our first time "Going Home" will be Easter of 2002. I have the worst kind of luck so I can tell you that Disney will be the busiest it has ever been for the 10 days we are staying. Pool hopping might be the only thing that I might look forward to.

Your luck hasn't changed, pool hopping is usually closed for SAB and I think BW for easter.
