We are taking a trip the week of labor days with my inlaws and will be staying at OKW. I thought it would be fun to try out the pool at SSR one day, but have never been to either OKW or SSR and don't know the best way to get there.

Is there easy parking near the feature pool at SSR? Would it even be feasible to take the boat from OKW to SSR? Thanks!

I'd probably take the boat. First you take the boat to DTD and transfer to the boat to SSR. You could also take the bus to DTD, and walk over to SSR. Or if you are near the South Point area of OKW, just take the walkway and just before you get to DTD, hang a left and cross the footbridge to get to SSR.

And yes, there is plenty of parking near the feature pool at Saratoga Springs. It is across the street in The Springs area.

Sept 3 - 6 pool hopping is suspended because holiday weekend is high occupancy time. But, perhaps if it is not too busy when you stop over at SSR they'll give you the green light to do so, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Good luck :goodvibes

My DD, DGS, and I did this in May. We were at OKW and drove to SSR. Very quick; very easy. There's a good QS place for lunch there also.

Thanks so much! We will have a car, so it seems to be the easiest choice to drive over. I like the idea of an easy meal at SSR while we are there, too.

Take along clothes to change into and get a REAL treat by dining at one of DVC best kept secrets...Turf Club. It is one of our favorites, and they even have outdoor dining. You don't have to dress up, but swim wear would probably not be appropriate.

I second this idea! Lunch or dinner at Turf Club is a must for our family at least once per trip!

Here's another thought for you....we went in April and had a car. We made breakfast ressies at Ohana 1st thing and then went out to the Poly pool for the morning and into the afternoon. We were able to get some really good chairs near the bar, the kids liked the beach area to dig and play, and when I felt like I needed a little magic, I just looked over my shoulder to the castle. ;)

You can usually pool hopping information in the most recent issue of Disney Files, the DVC Member quarterly magazine.
