Pool guests?

You''re right. I don't give my kids their room keys to carry. I have had to hand all 6 over to the CM at the entrance though, which means I do have to carry them all. As was said a minute ago, the policy is that everybody has to show a room key - whether that's actually requested is dependent on the CM.

To the OP, I agree with just adding your guests to the room reservation since you can do so without exceeding occupancy max. Enjoy your trip!

I am speaking strictly on the pool, not on MM entries. I've never seen a CM ask every guest coming into the pool area for a room key.

Just remember that adding additional adults will increase your nightly room rates.

I didn't think it would add to our price because currently we only have one adult per room. I am waiting to hear back from my TA, but adding a second adult to one room shouldn't increase it, right? Isn't it one price for 2 adults?

Technically, you are supposed to have 1 key for each person entering. Do some CMs let you go with just one per family? A few may. But we have been asked for keys for each person on the few times we have done EMH.

Yes we carry them, but when entering thru the DCA/GCH entrance specifically, we've always been told we only need one per family. But of course it's me/hubby and kids no other adults, so maybe that makes a difference?

I often add guests up to the room occupancy limit, and never had additional charges at DLR :teacher:
When booking online, selecting 1 or 5 guests shows the same price.

This is not true. We've often had 2 rooms at GCH and changed the occupants between rooms and the price does NOT increase.

To the OP: We had a CM at the pool coming by and asking for our individual room keys in May when we were at the pool. We were with 3 adults and 3 kids and had to show each key - luckily I keep them all together so we had them already, so add the names of the cousins to your 2nd room.

It's also a fun souvenir for them to keep - my DD has her GCH room keys she uses as "credit cards" when playing with her cash register. ;)

I could be wrong, but am thinking I saw something about the WDW hotels that they charge a bit extra ($10-$15) for a 3rd adult (18 or over) in a room.

Not sure if that was ever said about the DLR hotels, or if they even still do this. But that might be where some of that belief is coming from.

Yes, WDW hotels charge extra for third and fourth adults in a room, except for DVC properties. They might not do that at DLR but with three adults and two rooms, the OP shouldn't have to worry either way. :goodvibes

For the DLR hotels, there is no difference in price for adding an additional guest. You can have up to 5 in a room.

Heres my thoughts because I am going in May with a family of four.I have a niece and nephew coming to visit that live near by. Out of my family of four My wife, the baby and me will be using the pool, so if nephew and niece go in my party only has 3 people swimming when originally there are four of us.

Well at least thats how I'm going to justify it.

Depending on how crowded it is, they may or may not ask to see room keys for everyone in your party. And please don't take up extra chairs... Chairs are sometimes hard to come by, and I think if you are sneaking the kids in that would be rude to take paying guest's lounge chairs for them.
