Does anyone know the current rate for a cabana rental at DLH and how far in advance you can book?

We paid $360-ish a couple months ago for a full day, though we only used it between 12:45pm-4:00pm. It was well worth it!

If you're staying Club Level, it's nice to take other snacks down to the cabana (M&M's, peanut butter sandwiches, soda cans, etc). Also take advantage of the ability to order from Trader Sam's. Margaritas poolside is heavenly!

We booked for August $424 full day, I believe $374 for half a day (plus tax I think).

Also, you can switch hotels. So if you are at DLH, you can book either Grand Californian or DLH and vice versa.

Availability was 60 days out. I was told 12 am pacific to call, but had issues with system and couldn't reserve until later that morning.

Did you have to let someone know that you would be late for a full day cabana? We have breakfast scheduled so won't be there until closer to lunch. Don't want to be considered a "no-show"

If booking for half day, what time slot would you arrive for afternoon booking?

Sounds like a good idea!

We let concierge know at Club Level, but they said it was no problem and to just head over and check-in when we were ready. I'm pretty sure there wasn't any communication regarding this between concierge and the pool cabana attendants but our cabana was there waiting for us with our name on it :) You should be fine!

is it premade PB sandwiches available in Club? My son doesn't like jelly -
What other food and beverages are available? THANKS!

Yes, they were the Smuckers grape and peanut butter sandwiches. Great for us because we love those, but not good in terms of customization for this situation.

They had different hors d'oeuvres throughout the day depending on if it was lunch or dinner (or breakfast). The menu rotates so if you are staying 3-4 days you will probably not get the same thing during your stay (except for dessert). That was such a bummer because they had mini quesadillas the first night that looked really good, but we had Trader Sam's reservations so didn't get a chance to try them! Looking back at my photos:

Edited to add: these are throughout the day, not all at once.

-Artisan deli meats/cheeses
-prosciutto
-caprese panini
-panzanella salad
-smuckers PB&J's
-Kind Bars
-mini quesadillas
-cookies (raisin, chocolate chip, sugar)
-gruyere and leek tart
-pork carnitas
-duck spring rolls
-lemonade
-spa water (water with fruit in it)
-iced tea
-donut holes
-Diet Coke, Sprite, Coca Cola, Minute Maid, Campbell's tomato juice, Sprite, cranberry juice
-you can ask for beer, wine, champagne

breakfast
-chia pudding ----this was delicious!!!

I'll see if I can figure out how to post pictures.

I had to get a mimosa, which was delicious (with a $5 tip to our server, of course!)

Just back from DLR. Booking is 60 days out. Price varies depending upon time of year. Half day in July (2-6pm) at GCH was $374. I assume DLH Cabana is likely the same price.

I just booked for mid September (on a Sunday) at DLH for half day and the price was the same.

What is included with the cabana booking? How many can be in there?
We will see on Monday. But I was told 6 people plus 2 reserved poolside chairs.
Website says:

Your Own Poolside Paradise

For an additional fee, enjoy a shaded oasis equipped with virtually everything you could want for a half-day or full-day respite. Cabanas include:
  • 2 chaise lounge chairs
  • Love seat
  • Coffee table
  • Sofa
  • 32-inch LCD television with cable access
  • Ceiling fan
  • Safe
  • Clock radio
  • Telephone for internal Resort calls
  • Mini refrigerator with 6 complimentary water bottles
  • Complimentary fruit platter
  • Towel service
A cabana server will also be on hand to take your food and beverage order. Please note that you may not bring outside alcohol to the pool; alcohol can be purchased with a valid ID from the pool bar menu.
Cabana Capacity
Cabanas are restricted to a maximum of 6 people. Parties of 7 or more may book an additional Cabana at the full price, subject to availability.

So I was thinking of booking one our first day. We are flying in late the night before and staying and a cheapie and then heading to DLH in the morning (no park this day). I was think g of booking one for half the day as I think the chances for early check in for our October date is slim (hotel is booked up).

It's kinda pricey tho.. worth it?

Sounds like an awesome way to spend a non-park day! October can be really hot too, so pool might be just the ticket.

We watched YouTube videos with the cabanas to help us decide. We haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it is worth it. But it looked relaxing for a pool day so we are trying one.

Based on the videos, the $424 full day is really high in my opinion, but there are only a few at each resort so if demand is there Disney can charge that. We ended up getting full day cabana not because we are going to be there from 9:30-6, but for only $50 more we would get another 4.5 hours access. It seemed like half day is overcharged and full day is a deal lol.
