I just found out that the child that drowned at the pool yesterday was released from the hospital today.

It ranks right up there with the guy who once told me he was electrocuted while working on his car. It was another one of those 24-hour deaths that we hear so much about.

The 5 year old was found drowned at the bottom of the pool. He was removed and cpr was done for approx 5 minutee and he was revived and taken to the hospital.
I was informed by the sherrifs office that. He was released the next day.

mk199 is being humble.
the story goes one of our own disers was the hero.
mk199 was at the pool, mk199 is also a firefighter paramedic of about 15 years. he currently is a rescue captain for a fire dept in broward county.
anyhow he saw the lifeguards scurying and ran to help. when he made it to the lifeguards they were pulling a lifeless and blue body from the pool by the slide area. they had not seen teh child go down just realized he was there. he quickly took the child from the lifeguards being the highest ranking medical official on scene and the child was pulseless and breathless he started cpr with one other person. after 5 minutes the child started breathing but did not regain consciouness. a couple minutes later after oxygen therapy the child started to come around and wake up. but was very lethargic. however mk199 good job hold your head high.
