I know there are a lot of threads out there for us Pooh-sized folks so sorry to add to the pile! I'm not worried about most rides at Disney as I've never had a problem on anything I've gone on....but....I've yet to be brave enough to try California Screamin'. I'm a size 28 (about 330lb) and 5'9. Have any of my fellow Pooh (in my case, more like Ursula ;)) sized riders given California Screamin' a chance? Anyone not able to ride? I'm not worried about a tight fit....I just don't want to get in the seat and not be able to fit.

Thanks guys!!!

I was able to ride it without a problem, and I've got a lot more hunny under my belt. ;)

I am so glad you asked this, I am right around your exact size! :)

Thanks! That is good to know, because I can't wait to try it out!!!!

If you carry a lot of weight in your shoulders and the restraints can't click into place, you can be removed from the ride. I've seen it happen twice. No one really seemed to notice or care, so there wasn't any stigma attached to it, it's just that the over the shoulder restraints need to click or they're not working.

I was worried about this one because I am chunky and also have huge ****s (I cup) and at my local amusement park I cannot ride most rides with the over the shoulder harness because it won't click. But I had ZERO issue with California Screamin (still had several clicks worth of room) and in fact rode it several times in a row. I think it is a superfun coaster!

The restraints can be awkward if you are a person of size; DH ended up with his arm sticking out at a funky angle. He got the CM's attention immediately; the CM unlocked his car's restraints and DH (and everyone else in the car) tried again. If at all possible, don't ride with someone you need to be responsible for on your first time, just so you can be focused on you and the restraints, just in case it's awkward.

But size wise you should be fine. DH is taller, but he was much bigger on his first time on Screamin' and apart from the arm thing at first, it was fine.

I agree with the comments on the shoulder restraints. We went this summer and it was a pretty tight fit for me. I am 5'7 and weighed about 255...... With all of the parks we went to, I was only unable to ride Manta at Sea World... I did not have any problems with the Disney rides just a snug fit. We rode Screamin at least 4 times

Thanks for all the great info guys! I'm feeling better about it! My next trip isn't for a while but I'm a total freak when it comes to this kind of thing! My last trip I didn't have any trouble at all on any of the rides I went on...so naturally I have to stress myself out about the one that I was too chicken to try :rotfl:
