I started running this past June and have lost a little more than 50 lbs in the process. But I still have about 45 more to go. I have found that running clothes are sized smaller than street clothes, so while I can wear XL shirts and such out of the normal department, running skirts and tech shirts fit way smaller. Any thoughts on where I can find plus size women's running clothes??? :confused3

I would try Lululemon. I'm not sure what size you are, but I love their clothes for running, working out AND casual wear. I think most of their items go up to a size 12.

Target does carry some that go to 2x, champion brand. I have the same problem especially with tops, and I just ordered from ChampionUSA.com a few new shirts and they had womens sized in some styles. I googled a coupon code and got 20% off and free shipping, so they were all around 10$ each.

Congrats on the running and the weight loss.:thumbsup2

I have noticed that the Dick's Sporting Goods in my area carries plus sized Nike clothing. I wonder if their website or maybe even nike.com carries it also.

Skirt Sports has things in plus sizes. Their sizing runs weird, some things are run small, and other things large, but their returns are easy. I really like the bike skirt, bike shirt and tri top I have from them. I'm somewhere between a XL and 2X depending.

Lululemon's sizing confuses the crap out of me. Because 12 isn't like 12 in a regular store. I've not found anyone - even the sticks who work there - who can explain it sufficiently.

Any clue?

It is a bit confusing. Truly the best way to know if their stuff will fit is to try it on. I wear the same size shorts at Lululemon that I wear for jeans.

But they are sort of expensive, so I try and only buy a few things from there...along with some Nike stuff or off-brand stuff at Kohl's.

Lululemon sizing doesn't seem to be grounded in any reality. I'm true to size in the bottoms, but the tops seems to be really small (and I'm short and have got *ahem* nothing going on). I just know what size I am in Lululemon and ignore what that means in the rest of the world. ;)

I always need larger sizes in tops. I have had good luck with 'Two Roads Fitness' and 'Team Estrogen'.

You can google them and find their websites.

Good luck!

Susan

Try junonia.com . . . they sell stuff in sizes XL-6X.

I love Lucy for running clothes. But you do have to try everything on. Some bottoms fit perfectly, others don't. They also have pretty good sales when you can stock up!

I desperately needed compression tights due to knee and calf injuries but wasn't sure about sizing. I'm 5'5" weight a smidge over 200lbs. According to the size charts none of the womans tights would fit. I'm so happy to say the mens large fits great. All of the support is right where it should be too. I love them. It was the first time since I started training in Sept. that my old injuries didn't act up. Happy dance. So for all of you fellow "pooh sized" active woman that want compression tights give a mens size a try. I bought CW-X Stability mens large. I'm training for the Princess half in 2012 & Disneyland half to earn the coast to coast in 2012. :cheer2: Happy exercising !

Lane Bryant.com and the Just my size stuff at both Kmart & Walmart. You may also want to try Old Navy.com. I've had luck finding active wear at all of these places.:yay:
