My son saw on a blog he follows, a picture of the Winnie the Pooh Meet & Greet backdrop has been removed.......does anyone know what that means?? Are they getting rid of the character M&G??? I'd sure hate to see that go!! Not sure if I missed the news on this somewhere else, if I did, I apologize for bringing it up again in a new thread.

I'm not sure what you mean about the "backdrop". The Winnie the Pooh characters have their meet and greet near Splash Mountain in Critter Country. Is this what you're talking about?

M&G was still going on in the same general vicinity last weekend. I think they're just eliminating the line-up area. Not sure though.

Interesting, when did this happen did some Halloween stuff go in it's place?

I read back in a Disney blog that some things are moving around this year. Maybe somone in the park today knows?

In the meet & greet with Pooh, he usually stands in front of a cute honey pot backdrop.....this seems to have been removed. I'd love an update from someone at the parks......maybe we could figure out what's going on.

This is the M&G area in Critter Country.....posted today on a Disneyland blog in Tumblr.

I'm having a hard time visualizing where exactly that picture was taken. Is the building Pooh's Corner? Does that mean it's closed??

I love the cute honey pot backdrop! And they usually spruce it up for the Christmas holidays - and the characters are in holiday mode too. Hope its not going away....

We just returned from our trip yesterday. Pooh's Corner is open, the Pooh ride is open--but the cute meet-n-greet area is gone--that is the area that is behind the wood fence in the picture. You can't see what the construction is that they're doing, but clearly some sort of construction is going on.

One of the days we were there, Pooh was standing out in the open meeting guests and other day there was a roped off area for people to wait to meet Pooh and Tigger--the end of the line was toward the exit for the Pooh ride and Pooh and Tigger's backs were toward the Pooh ride. A bit hard to explain, but it worked. It wasn't all cute like the old backdrop, but they were making it work.

Just out of curiosity, did they still have Photopass photographers with them?

I really thought that little backdrop was very cute, I hope that they re-incorporate it or put something equally cute in its place. :goodvibes

When we were there they had a line queue set up by the pooh ride. No cute backdrop, but there was always a photopass photog there when we went by.

The time they had the line set up with ropes there was a Photopass photographer there. The time that Pooh was just out in the open area there was no photographer--just a character handler.
