I am always amused at how different my dog Darci looks after she's been groomed and I thought I would share some before and after pictures :).

Before grooming, we call her our "fluffer nutter":

After her grooming we have a poodle again!

What a cute fur baby - Definately more refined after her haircut, lol!

She's beautiful!
I have a labradoodle who goes from respectable (just groomed), to sketchy (one month out) to homeless guy (time to be groomed again).:)

She's beautiful. I have a chocolate color toy poodle who is twelve. I do her hair myself, :scared1:. She looked funny the first few times, but I have to say, I have gotten the hang of it.

Beautiful dog!

I just picked up our Bichon, Gibson, from the groomers. He hadn't had a haircut in a while. It's like he lost 10 pounds in one day!

Beautiful Standard! I'm jealous. I grew up with them. I'd love to have one again. DW doesn't like their size. I like them because they are are like a more graceful lab - with ribbons....

She is lovely. She looks like my precious Annie, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Beautiful poodle. I want one. My grandmother raised toy poodles and I grew up with a house full, but we no longer have any of them, they have all grown old and passed on. Someday I will get me one, for now, I am a cat person.

Thanks everyone! Darci is quite the character. You can tell that she loves to have all that hair removed ... she is dancing and prancing all over the place. Her newly groomed nickname is "Princess Paws". She'll be 3 years old in March and is still very much a puppy. She still has a lot of energy!

lol:rotfl: That is exactly how I see my mini poodle when it's time to go back to the groomer.

Picture Darci as a minituare poodle and you have my dog.

She looks pretty small for a standard. (Or I might just have a HUGE mini)

your fur baby us beautiful but the snow:upsidedow

Your poodle is lovely! :) Whenever we had our toy poodle groomed, it seemed to not only change her appearance but her personality. When she was scruffy, she acted like Tramp. When groomed, she turned into Lady!

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Pretty pooch, robin. :thumbsup2

Cute dog.

If you need a free cat to go with her, I've got an extra one I can send you.

What a lovely lady! I had to take our two Shih Tzus in today and it's only been three weeks! Scruffy, the male, is not too bad, he's not into the standard Shih cut, he's still growing out from being completely shaved down like a lamb because he likes to roll. Sadie, the demon girl, is another story. SHe's jsut a little over a year old and a real tomboy (can dogs be that?). SHe delights in knotting her fur, which is the long silky type, unlike Scruffy's, which is curly/wiry, probably from having to be clipped down so close. She rolls and wallows every chance she gets, plus, is part goat, digging through trash, stealing from purses and backpacks (the girls', not mine, I keep my stuff out of her reach.) YEsterday, she had a bit of an upset tummy, probably from eating part of a wooden clothespin that she took from the laundry room (she stole it from the clothespin bag!!!). SHe spit up a little bit, and I washed her face the best I could with a wet facecloth. LAst night she went into DD11s blue jeans pocket (jeans left in a pile in the floor during shower time) and stole a tube of Burt's Bees lip balm, the peppermint flavor. I told her she smelled like a peppermint pattie mixed with other, not so nice stuff like dog food crumbs. So off to the groomer they went this morning. Picked them up this evening, dropped right at $100 at Petco between the grooming and the wee wee pads. They looked gorgeous, Scruffy is all soft and fluffy, like he had a blow out, Sadie's hair is all long, silky and knot free, she has a Valentine's bow in her ponytail, looks like a Shih-Tzu. Well, it won't do any good to post a picture now, her top knot is already askew and half of the hair is already out of the ponytail! Bad dog! I have to say she reminds me of the dog in Lady and the Tramp that sings "He's a Tramp", normally her bangs are in her eyes and she's peering at you with a look that says "yes I did it but I'm cute so I'll get away with it!" and she generally does! :rotfl:

Yes, she's small for a standard ... only about 45 lbs.

I know! I cut out the "yellow snow" from the snow bank when cropping the photos.
