Ponder with me... if could change ONE thing about our world?

That all food that tasted good was good for you and ice cream actually made you lose weight.

And that no one's car could go faster than 45 mph and the car would come to a stop if you didn't keep two hands on the wheel at all times. People need to calm down (I see so much road rage every day) and need to focus more on driving and less on cell phones/reading/makeup applying/hair brushing/eating/arguing with the kids/digging through their purse/finding a CD/etc.

Oh, and to go back to when cell phones weren't around. You know, back when people used to go out to eat and talk to the people across from the table, not their friend across the state.

So, can I change three things? ;) :teeth:

No more killing. No more despots that feel the need to kill thousands of their own people...therefore no need to go to war. No killings on the smaller scale either. Like people who randomly kill others because of money, jealousy, etc.

Far-fetched I guess but that's kinda what the point of this thread is ;)

That I could eat anything (and as much as I wanted) and stay at a skinny 165 lbs. :teeth:

Mine is something I've thought about ever since I was little...

I would balance out the wealth of the world so that areas that have an abundance of money would be given to areas of poverty. Like the lottery, why do we need to award some random person who probably is already living comfortably with more money than they could ever need? Where does lottery money come from anyway? It sure would be put to better use in more needy parts of the world.

And the salaries of movie stars and baseball players... it really seems to be in excess of what they should earn.

top of my head I'd have to say "Clean Water". It would really make a difference in this world. After that I think Respect for others. Wow!! What if we taught that in schools all over the world! In fact, maybe that would be my number one choice![/QUOTE]

As soon as I read your post I thought of this quilt. It has won many major awards. Not mine, I saw it in person 2 years ago. Very large and incredible.

For my change of the world: One that I have thought of for a long time. One day a year, say on that persons birthday you could speak to the dead. I would love to talk to my mother or grandmother or whoever. Even if it were just an hour a year that would be so great. To see them as they were when they were healthy and ask questions, advice, talk girl talk – I still miss all that. It’s not world changing but I’m usually in DisneyWorld when it’s my moms birthday and I never got a chance to go there with her - now that would be fun!

#1 I'd eliminate pain. Physical pain. Except for the kind that has you pull your hand out of a fire. Protective pain OK.

But nobody would suffer, even if they were very sick or injured.

#2 would be to eliminate illness.

#3 would be elimination of hunger/thirst.

#4 - No more mental / brain problems.

#5 - Everyone would be smart.

(I'd also like thick hair, please. :))

I would change the world so no child would ever be unwanted or unloved. The world would be a better place if all children could be taken care of. Terri

That nobody would give a crap about the way anyone else chooses to live, as long as it doesn't involve hurting anyone.

get rid of ridiculous salaries and spread the wealth. There are no poor there are no rich everyone is equal.
