Ponchos on Jurassic Park @ USH

I thought they used to provide you with bright yellow ponchos on Jurassic Park at USH... am I remembering correctly? And if so, do they still do this?

You can get ponchos at the store right next to the ride entrance. They cost $3 for an adult poncho.

Is it really necessary for a poncho on the ride? Is it more like Splash at DL or GR at DCA?

Much more like Splash, but the vehicle is huge so can be really heavy, which will get you wetter of course. And some of the dinosaurs spit.

They can & do change the amount you get wet based on the weather. The signs are updated to tell you the current setting.

They keep upping the price - was $1 last year, now $3. But still cheaper than Disney! I kept mine and use at DL now.
