We will be newbies during sept 1-7 hurrican season.
Where do I buy the cheeper ponchos and what section of the store ( there is a target, dick/s and walmart around here) are they in? are they reusable?
I am "wicked " bad with umbrellas, and will probably rip a poncho in a flash.can you tell i am from new england ????
Thanks!

The ponchos in my local Walmart store is in the pocketbook/accessory section of the store. The ponchos at WDW are $7.50 so i would purcahse a few just to be sure. If you are planning to go with children and using a sroller you might want to think about buying one to cover the stroller for when you go into rides. You may be surprised to come out of a ride and find that a thunderstorm has passed and strollers soaked.

I found ponchos in packs of 2 for $1 at Dollar Tree. At that price, they're disposable if needed =)

I bought several packages and stash them in the suitcase in case we decide to trash a few along the way.

Go to your nearest dollar store... They usually have them in a three pack (clear/blue/yellow) well worth a buck! :) but hopefully it wont rain and you will only be out a dollar! :) :sunny:

At Target & Walmart, they should be about $1-2. You can usually find them in the "wicked awesome" camping section of the store. These should work "wicked" fine. If you want a more durable/thicker plastic, then you can get a really "wicked awesome" one from Eddie Bauer at Target for about $5-6. :umbrella:

Can ya tell I'm from the wicked awesome state of Massachusetts? :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I did just see some at Target in the $1 section in the front of the store. I'm sure these are a one-time use. They come in a variety of colors.

Walmart has always carried them in Sporting Goods- in the camping supplies (near the camping cooking gear, I think) About $.88. :sunny:

Target is carrying $5 ponchos in its Random Acts of Summer seasonal section, for adults and children in nice bright colors. These are a bit more substantial than the $1 versions, and should last through more than one stormy night.

One nice thing about the WDW poncho is if it ever tears they will replace it at any stand/store. And I'm not kidding about the ever. We had ponchos for at least 3 years and one of them ripped around the collar. We went into a store and asked if they sold them in that particular store as ours had ripped. The CM grabbed a new one and said if they ever rip the replacements are free.

I did not know that. Thanks!
