Pompano Beach/Ft.Laud. ?

We want to go to the beach this summer, but HHI and Vero are booked for our dates.

Pompano Beach Fairfield Royal Vista is available. It is on the beach and 11miles from the Fort Lauderdale airport. We have never been to this area of Florida. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Fort Lauderdale beach is beautiful! There are some nice, casual restaurants on the main drag to grab a bite and enjoy the view. Then, of course, Miami beach is only 20 minutes away and that is another world in itself! The Art Deco district is cool and the buildings are wonderful.

The weather should be perfect this time of year and you can get some really good deals on hotels via Expedia or Travelocity.

My dad has a condo right down the street from there!! It's quite nice. The area is terrific. Love the beach. Wish I was there right now in fact. The area is a little built up, but hey...it's Florida. And watch out for the 'seniors' out late afternoon, driving around, in search of the 'early bird specials'!!! I know...my dad dragged us with him. Ft. Lauderdale is beautiful. We visited there several times. Have fun. It's a great spot.
