My family will be going to the polynesian resort in Jan. 2007. We booked the magic kingdom room view . Is it worth the money ? First time to ever vist WDW.

I just want to say that going to sleep with the castle in sight and greeting you as you start the day is wonderful and being able to see the fireworks from your balcony is also magical!

Don't know what your paying a night but you may want to compare it to the rate of the lagoon view in the concierge building. There is much more to enjoy in my opinion. Not all rooms are guaranteed an unobstructed view but you have a pretty good chance at being able to see something and then you have th added pleasure of breakfast, snacks through out the day and great appetizers at night and more. Not to mention the great staff that really try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Just a suggestion

Hell yeah! The place is great, one of the best places to stay in WDW. For the monorail, for the setting/theming, and for 'ohana.

For our family......Absolutely!

Now what is good for you, only you know.

We love having the monorail for the MK and Epcot right there. The rooms are big, plenty of room for us. Nice big bathroom. The theme of the resort makes your feel like you are on vacation in Hawaii, its like getting 2 vacations in 1. Watching the fireworks from the beach, not having to fight the crowds to get back to your resort, or wait in line for a bus for who knows how long, priceless. The Pool slide and zero entry is great for kids. Staying at the Poly for us makes us feel like we never leave the magic of Disney, we are in the middle of all the action. Seeing the castle change colors while drinking tropical drinks, and watching the monorail make the loop to the resorts. Watching the water parade at night from the beach.

Two of the best resturants in all of WDW, Kona Cafe, and 'Ohana.

I could go on for niles, and niles :rotfl:

Thank you for responding. Which of the longhouses would be a good place to stay ? We have a 4 year old and I can not take smoking sections .

Tahiti has some of the best MK views on property plus the beach is in front of you. I'd request a first floor room so you can sit on the patio at night and watch the fireworks.
