I think I've finally decide to request the Tokelau longhouse. Those are the larger rooms, right? We'll have a garden view, but I don't know anything about what we'll be seeing. What should I ask for as far as a view...or are all of the garden views decent?

Also, what would you suggest as a second choice for a longhouse? I'm thinking Tahiti because of the larger rooms there, too.

Thanks!!

I have read that this longhouse has the *best* garden views, so much in fact you can see parts of the lagoon, depending on your room location!

I would keep this request:) If you look on their reosrt map, you can see how the longhouse is situated differently....and you will be able to see how the garden view here may be perhaps better than others!
Have a great trip!

We stayed in Tokelau and loved it. It was a very convenient longhouse.
We were on the second floor, right across from Hawaii longhouse. In fact, they were rehabbing Hawaii at the time and we got to watch the workmen...not so good. But, we also had a nice view of the lake towards the GF. I don't think there is a really bad view in Tokelau.

We just stayed in Tokelau July 9-17. It was great. All the rooms have balconies or patios, and they are also larger rooms than in most of the longhouses. Last year we stayed in Samoa; the room size is obvious and noticeable. You get an extra chair in Tokelau, too, and in our bathroom, the sink was positioned differently than in Samoa.

We were just a few rooms away from the end of the building, and we looked out on some landscaping. It was the side that is away from the quiet pool. A path went by, and we could see a couple of longhouses both straight ahead and to the right. It was fine, and actually better than our view in Samoa last year when we saw a service area from our room.

I think you'll be happy in Tokelau.

In Tokelau we had a pool view room. We faced the quiet pool. If you stood (or sat) on our deck looking to the right facing out...you could see Cinderella's castle!! It was a great surprise view!!:thumbsup2

We are going to be at the Poly in november with a garden view and i requested Tokelau or Tahiti. I have stayed in Tahiti once before and the rooms were a great size. I am thinking the view will definitely not be of a parking lot in these 2 buildings?? Plus i like the proximity to the TTC. Have a great trip!:)

We stayed in Tokelau in January, and have requested that longhouse for next January. Our rooms faced the quiet pool, and, when you looked to your right you could see the fireworks! It's a good central location, about the same distance to the Lobby and to the TTC.

View from our Tokelau patio on quiet pool side. If you took a few steps out and looked to the right you could see the Castle.

Tokelau will definately not be a view of the parking lot. The side facing the quiet pool is great. Depending on where you are you may not be able to see MK but it is just a short walk to the end of the building to watch the fireworks from the beach. It has balconies above the first floor because it was built after the original longhouses.

Yes, this is true! We had room 3916 in Tokelau this past May and we had a wonderful view of the lagoon as well as a view of the monorail, Contemporary Resort and the Magic Kingdom Ferry. Also, we could see Space Mountain easily and if we turned left, we could see Cinderella Castle. To our right we could see the beautiful landscaping and we saw ducks every single morning! It was wonderful! :thumbsup2

We always request Tokelua room #3939, facing the quiet pool although it is actually a garden view room. Love it, love it, love it!
