We have dinner reservations at 8:20pm at the Polynesian. Staying at the Swan Reserve. Do the busses even run that late? How do I get back? Uber? TIA

First question is what time does MK close on your date?

If it’s open late enough then you could walk to the TTC to take the Swan/Dolphin bus. But if not, rideshare/taxi will be your best/easiest/only option.

9pm. Ok thank you. That's the problem with those later dinner res. So, if a park closes at 8 and your dinner res at the park is 8:20, does the bus service wait for those still in the park for awhile or no? WE may have an issue on another night. Although that is at DHS and I have taken the path back to the Swan before, but Swan reserve is a bit farther, not sure if there is a connecting path.

As much as I dislike uber, it has been very helpful for early or late meals....
Thankful in the Springs is open late you can use the springs as a hub..... Take a bus from the poly to the springs then a bus from the springs to the swan...... or the boardwalk....

Good luck

It was very nice when the springs was open until 2 am.... you could always get were you needed to....
I think when I was there in June the springs closed at 10.... it was a mess when you had a dinner reservation at 9...
I think the buses run 1 hour before open and one hour after close

There is a connecting path. If you've ever walked over to Fantasia Gardens, it's the same path. You pretty much walk out the front entrance of the Swan Reserve to the sidewalk leading up to Fantasia Gardens. In a nutshell, it's not much further to get to the Swan Reserve from the Swan. Maybe 100-200 yards?

I think the OP wanted to go FROM the POLY TO either the Swan, Dolphin, or Swan Reserve after most of the normal modes of transport would have shut down for the day.

Go to MK and get a ride from there.

For us I would simply move the POLY dinner earlier that night and if we wanted a late dinner we would go to Epcot area (which is where we pretty much always have dinner)

We've just used Lyft to get back to the Swan, faster and easy-peasy as long as you don't have kids needing car seats. We've used it several times after Ohana and Trader Sam's.
