Polynesian Studio ?

My husband is the coffee drinker in our family but I believe they always have a starter pack in the studios.

All DVC studios have a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, starter pack of coffee with fixins, more available from housekeeping or the resort store.

:earsboy: Bill

It'll be a couple packets of creamer - not cream but you can grab the little liquid creamers at the QS location. Coffee will usually be 2 packs. You can bring additional coffee (which is what we do) or you can purchase more coffee packs thru housekeeping.

I can't help thinking about points stays vs cash rentals.

Points stays get the coffee etc replenished on day 4 and 7 but cash stays gets it every day.

How on earth do Mkeeping keep track of who is to pay for that?. Staying on points its the DVC part of the resort or the guest if he/she request additional items. Staying on cash its Disney that pays. To me thats just too much administrative work to make sure everything is correct.

I could be afraid that if anyone stays on points or cash in the DVC part of the resort its just the owners that pays with their dues.

Every four days, so day 4 and day 8.

Shouldn't be anything more than a code on the reservation. The mousekeepers themselves would just have the info of what rooms they are servicing that day and what kind of service. Any type of service gets the coffee replenished. If someone calls for coffee the supervisor would have access to what type of stay the room is on and could add the charge or not although since cash rooms would be scheduled for service daily it's fairly unlikely they'd ever call as the coffee would just get replenished every day from the start.

if you drink lots of coffee, bring MR Coffee type flat bottom filters for a 10-12 cup pot and you're own coffee. Some units have the 4 cup coffee maker, just call housekeeping for a large one if you need it. You will need sugar/splenda and creamer, both available at the store for about 2-3x normal prices.

We just walk down and fill a refillable mug from a previous trip with just liquid creamer at captain cooks and keep it in our fridge. (My kids buy the mugs every trip) Then pack our own coffee and filters.

I don't think that's what the refillable mug is for. Good Luck teaching your kids.

That's an awesome way to teach your kids thriftiness, especially since you pay for refillable mugs on every trip. We'll definitely use that tip on our next trip because I can't stand the powdered stuff in my coffee.

You get one morning's worth of coffee in the room. In the past it was terrible coffee (I hear the new brand is much better) so we've never used it. We pack a bag of our favorite coffee, some tea bags and a baggie full of sugar packets in our luggage. They are small items so they're easy to pack. We have a supply of flat bottom filters in our Owners Locker. Before we had a locker, we would bring a supply of filters with us.

We buy a pint of half and half in the resort store when we get there. Yes it may be more expensive than buying it in a grocery store but the cost pales in comparison to what I overpay for many of the other things we purchase at Disney!
