I find this odd that you say that, because I have seen multiple people with that pin, and just now, 10 seconds ago, saw someone with it on VMK. I have a friend who won one as well. So... ????

A few months ago, he got it from staff by accident, instead of the Grand
Californian pin. Someone told staff he had it, and they took it away from
him.

Ok, maybe that happened, but he says he is the only non-staff to have it when this clearly is not the case.
