is there a print of the large Mary Blair mural available at the Polynesian? Or, has anyone ever spotted that as a print At any of the art shop in the parks or at Disney Springs? I know there are usually tons of Disney art prints wrapped in cellophane, standing upright, for people to “flip through” at the art shops. I just can’t remember if Mary Blair artwork has ever been offered that way. Or, does anyone have any idea of Polynesian prints that may be available at Boutiki?

This was my exact mission on my last trip. In the end the I bought these two images from the Poly’s Bou-TIKI. They aren’t of the Poly, but it was the closest I got and I looked EVERYWHERE! Oh, btw, they came matted, but I bought the frames off of Amazon. Each print was $40. I would have paid with my right arm to buy the prints found in the DVC villas at the Poly, alas they are not for sale as far as I know.

If there were a print, it would be available at the Contemporary Resort, not Polynesian.

Several years ago, there was a vase available for purchase which had the Mary Blair mural painted on it.

Oh my gosh-----I love these! Those are great! Thank you for posting and letting me know how/where you found them! I have not been in a villa, but will pay attention next time I see a resort tour video on YouTube. I do know that there is a company or two that specialize in selling the no longer used hotel items that wdw replaces from time to time. I remember seeing furniture, bedding, artwork for sale as Disney refurbishes resorts. Thank you again for posting, those are gems!

That is a beautiful vase! I see in the flicker photo comments that Art of Disney Shops are mentioned. I guess you'll never know what one might come across....... in the right place at the right time. I look forward to seeing what is new this summer.

Those are SHAG artwork. I like that style and have a few pieces. You should check out his website.

I have the Mary Blair vase and Shag Dole Whip print displayed together, and the huge Shag vacation resort print over my fireplace. The vacation resort print takes me back to the old WDW map prints that used to hang in the resort rooms. I also have two of the Mary Blair pieces that used to hang in the Contemporary rooms from way back that I got through a former CM friend. It’s nice to have a bit of Disney art around that has a more adult and less cartoonish look. Sometimes people don’t even realize it’s Disney until I point out what it is.

I really like the Shag work. I have checked out the artists website and did a google search, but don’t think I’ve seen the resort print you’re talking about. I’ll keep looking though.

We also have the large signed and numbered Shag Map print and a few smaller prints...Love his work.

It has Bay Lake And Seven Seas Lagoon, with the MK, Poly, CR and FW. I don’t know the actual name for the piece, but maybe if you just Google WDW and Shag you can find it. I have the large one that is about three by four feet.

If you google Shag disney retro map it will come up.
