The 8:00 show is the best, you will see why when you get there. As people said, the fireworks usually start after the show which is another bonus. The "cheesy" parts of the show occur when everyone is eating so you tend to not pay attention as much. The good parts are after the meal. They also stop serving drinks once the Luau portion begins so keep that in mind as well (you server will notify you). Have a great time!

Often times Wishes starts at 9, and sadly, you then only get to listen to them.

We did the luau in May and the food was REALLY good! (and i'm a really picky eater). We sat cat 1 so i'm not sure about the cat 2 seats, we were front and center and it was great.

We did however miss Wishes, we could hear them and see random glimpses of the higher fireworks.

As far as getting there early to get a better seat - when we asked the Poly Club Level IPO when they made our reservation - they said seats were assigned first come/first serve based on purchase, so the sooner you purchased tickets the better the seat was, and that arriving earlier or later made no difference. We booked 180 days out, and had the best seats in the house. So i'm not sure if what they told me is true or not, but we definitely weren't the first to check in!

We have Cat 1 seating on the 4th. Since we will have our 4yo son we would like to be close to the stage so he can see well. Should we get there early and wait in the hot room to make sure he can see?

They pre assign seating. No matter what time you get there, you will get the seat they planned for you days in advance! All seating has good views, your child wont miss anything!

i booked a LONG time ago, but im sure all the seats are pretty good from what i hear..
stinks that we will miss wishes thou
