Hi all,
I have the opportunity to stay in a 2-bedroom in either Orange Lake or Polynesian Isle. I have stayed at neither and was wondering if I could get your input regarding these resorts and which one you prefer over the other.

Thanks in advance!

I myself perfer Orange Lake ....
We have been going there for the past 10 years and we love it....
It has alot of things to do on site...
movie theater, mini golf, game room, water fun as well and they are doing a water park there as well but it is supposed to be open in the spring...

Well which ever one you choose enjoy yourself :earsboy:

If you are looking for a large spread out hopping crowded place Orange Lake is good for you. They have alot of amenities and its huge so many times you have to drive to get to anything..they are also a bit far out on 192- also some of their older units get not so great ratings

Polynesian Isles is located closer to the parks overall and is supposed to be a very nice resort however alot smaller and less amenities then Orange Lake

I dont think you could go wrong with either...its what you are looking for

Thank you for your responses. I like big with lots of amenities. Is Orange Lake far from the parks?

no i own at orange lake, it is not far, i stayed at summer bay, that was far, and i beleive orange lake is working on a road to get you to the parks faster, not sure if it is doen yet.

We'll be using our own car while at WDW, so if we stay at OLCC, is there a faster way to get to the parks (particularly MK) other than 192 to Disney? Thank you all!

Yes there is a short cut. When you leave out of OLCC, take a left on 192. When you get to the stoplight at Black Lake Rd (there's a 7-11 on the left), take a left. Taht deadends at Sherbeth Rd. Take a left. At the stoplight (Osceola Parkway), take a right to go to the parks, or take a left to go to Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you're going to AK park, once you trun at the light, get in the left lane ASAP. There is a quick left turn to get to the toll plaza. if you miss that, you have to drive a bit before you can turn around.

Hint for OLCC: if you are staying in East Village (or the North Village near the pool, too, IMO), use the back entrance to come in and out (the one by the Publix). It's a lot quicker than the main entrance, and I believe it's open until eihter 10 or 11 PM.
