Hi everyone!

Our family is going to be at WDW, the Polynesian, the first week in August. We've stayed there many times before, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if they are still doing the beautiful boat parade on the lagoon every night before fireworks? Also, I'd heard they aren't doing the fireworks every night anymore. Is that true?

Also, any construction going on that we should know about & steer away from any longhouses in particular?

Thanks a bunch in advance, everybody!!

Beth

Yes, they are still doing the Electrical Light Parade on the water. You'll need to ask about what time it is, though. I think it is around 9PM at the Grand Floridian, delayed about 15 minutes nights that there are 9PM fireworks. There are usually fireworks every night in the summer.

Take a look at the resort map and choose a building location you'd like. I believe all of them are open, and no renovations are currently going on.

Have fun!!!

I just got back 3 weeks ago and the electrical water parade was running every night but the MK fireworks were only on the weekends when they had Spectromagic parade. There were 2 parades on Sat nights and 1 on Fri nights. Illuminations at Epcot and Fantasmic at MGM were run every night with 2 Fantasmic shows on Sat nights. The daytime shows in the parks are run mostly in the afternoon, which stinks if you like to go to the parks in the AM and then go back to your resort and use the pool and then return to the parks after dinner. We were there 11 nights including Memorial Day weekend and there were no e ticket nights and of course no more early entry.
Have fun at the Poly, it is a wonderful resort, especailly at nighttime with the tiki torches lit laying on a hammock looking at the water parade or just looking at the water or cindys castle with the monorail passing by, it does not get much more magical than that!

Hi!

According the hours that have been posted, there should be fireworks each night you are there.

We were there in May and one of the buildings (to the left of the Grand Ceremonial House while riding the monorail) was definitely being refurbished. I believe this longhouse was closed off.

We'll be there on the 16th and 17th after a week at OKW -- can't wait to go back!

Have a great time!

They don't cut back on the fireworks and park hours till the end of August. The water pageant is every night starting at the Polynesian after the fireworks.

Aloha

Steve

Be sure to view the fireworks from the Volcano Pool! We were at the Polynesian last August and the pool was a nice refuge from the 90+ degree temperatures (even at night!).

Any building would be fine. Lots of people like Tokelau for its central location (close to the laundry, game room and quiet pool). We particularly like buildings to the west of the Great Ceremonial House for there quick access to Captain Cook's in the morning.

Have a great trip!
