Polynesian, fridge?

Anyone recently returned from the polynesian and had a refrigerator? Was it in your room? Did you have to request it? Did you pay for it? Just looking for an update. Thanks, Mky

I think refrigerators will be in all the rooms when the longhouses are remodeled with the new decor. At this point you still have to call. At least that was are experience in Feb. In May we were in Hawaii which does have the really small refrigerators in the armoire. But I haven't seen any reports of all the rooms having them and it makes sense to wait.

We were in the Samoa bldg about 2 weeks ago. Had to request a fridge. It arrived very fast and there was no charge for it.

Same here. We stayed at the WL and had to call for the fridge and at the Poly and had to call for the fridge. No cost, of course. And, both arrived very promptly. I did not request one when I reserved. Maybe if you do, it will be there at arrival. From what I observed, they removed them from the rooms at check out...

I agree with this too Carol. In both Feb and May, I saw refrigs in the hallway outside of doors in Samoa and Nuie. I think they were awaiting pick up.

Until they redo the rooms with the new design they will be limited on how many refrigerators they have so they have to put them in the room by request.

I would just request it when you get there. We use to request it ahead of time as we needed one for insulin. With the exception of a few accessible rooms in Rapa Nui that have had slightly larger refrigerators already in them the last few years, the frig has never been there when we arrived. We just have called housekeeping once we were in the room. With the exception of our Feb. trip, housekeeping has always brought it very quickly.

We just returned from last week's stay at the Poly. We were in the Tahiti bldg. w/ a MK view. Yes, the room had a refrigerator when we arrived, we didnt have to ask for it.

Hi All,

I actually requested a refrigerator when I booked and the CM on the phone told me that all the rooms now have a refrigerator. I'll just make sure when I check in....

I requested a frig when making my reservation. Upon arrival the frig was not in the room. I called the front desk and it was delivered to our room within 10 minutes.
