Which buildings at the Poly have DVC Deluxe Studios? Is there a preferred Poly DVC building? I plan on renting points with David's and was wondering if I should request a certain building.

Thanks for any advice/info :)

Moorea, pago Pago, and Tokelau (which is opening soon)
Lake view are in moorea
Standard view are in all 3
1 side of pago Pago looks out toward parking lot
1 side of Tokelau faces east pool where construction is starting soon
It seems a lot of people request moorea to ensure no parking lot view

Do you have any idea when Tokelau construction would be finished? We wont be going until January 2016 and it seems like that building would be the most central...but I'd pass on it if it were in the middle on construction.

Pool construction is scheduled to be completed winter 2016. Initially people thought it would be completed before then. However, they have not done much work in the area and I believe they are planning to keep the East pool (next to Tokelau) open through the busy July 4th weekend.

In January 2016, you may or may not have construction on one side of Tokelau.

When the construction is completed, I believe Tokelau will be the most popular request for standard view studios. Closest to the lobby and no parking lot view.
While many believe the pool will be the end of the construction, there is certainly no guarantee.

One benefit to the Moorea building, the laundry is located in that building. Until Tokelau opens, we won't know if they decided to put laundry in that building or not. There is at least one Poly map showing Moorea as the only DVC building with laundry (but that could change).

We really enjoyed walking from Moorea along the beach, past the pool to the GCH. Very relaxing and great views.

If you are willing to take a chance on the construction situation, go for Tokelau. If you want to be safe, Moorea is the one with the best opportunity for a garden view without construction.

I would also recommend keeping an eye on Tikiman's Facebook page. People will post pictures within a day or two of any change happening at Poly.

We steer clear of new resorts for at least a year. That gives Disney plenty of time to get the bugs worked out and their people trained and all construction and landscaping completed.
