Where is the elevator in the Hawaii building? Near the lounge or mid-building?

What room#s are close to the elevator & would the elevator traffic make this area noisy?

TIA for any info.

The elevator is located just off the concierge lobby. It exits on the 2nd and third floors at the entrances to the lounge area.

There are several rooms on the lagoon side that would be affected by the noise from the elevators and maybe only one or two on the garden side. Likewise, the garden side first room or two must also contend with the service area just outside the front doors to Hawaii.

In the past we've had rooms about mid-way down the hall GV on the 1st floor (1530 and 1532--ring a bell--but I won't swear to it); the last room on the LV side (farthest from the lounge) 1st floor (1519??); and the next to last room GV on 3rd floor (3520). We've never had a room we didn't like.

If you stay away from the first few rooms of LV and the first one or two GV, you should be fine.

Tess is correct. The elevator is on the lounge end but reports from those who have stayed in the rooms and say that the only rooms that have had problems with elevator noise were the rooms next to the elevator, garden side (1534, 2534 and 3534) and the first two on the lagoon side (1501-1502, 2501-2502 and 3501-3502) We have had 1505 and never hear the elevator. Our friends go every year for 2 weeks and stay in 1504 and I don’t think have any problems. The last room on the lagoon side is actually 1518 and the first on the garden side towards Tokelau is 1519. I would go with Tess suggestion and stay away from the first 2 rooms closest to the lounge if you are worried about noise. Some like those rooms because they are close to the lounge end.

We stayed in 1534 in September and were never bothered by noise. We could not hear the elevator.

disneyag,

Any noise from the storage area? How was your view? It looks like you look into the corner of the Samoa Longhouse.

We just got back from 8 nights at Poly lagoon view concierge, and stayed in room #3502. We never heard the elevator, and enjoyed being close to the lounge.

Wish I was still there.

Tikiman,

The view from that room was less than spectacular!! No noise issues at all, but all we could see was the corner of the other longhouse. My opinion is to not pay for a view at Disney since we are away from the room so much, but I know that differs from your opinion. If you are looking for a view, 1534 is pretty lame! (Although even a lame view at the Poly is better than a great view from my window at home!!! :) )

We were there in March and had room 1531. IMHO perfect for us.The kids could scoot out the patio doors and go to the pools,or feed the ducks(I dont recommend it, unless you like them there constantly, and dont mind the presents they leave). We were about 4 or 5 rooms down the hall GV. Any closer to the Desk and you would be trapped on your patio by the gardens.we spent 8 days there and enjoyed every minute of it. Go Maple Leafs just not as far as the Red Wings!:D

My husband's parents and brother had garden view rooms in the upper 20s and had a gorgeous view of the quiet pool. Very serene, very beautiful at night. We had 3517, the second to last lagoon view room and thought it was absolutely perfect--no obstruction, straight on view of the castle. There's an outside set of stairs on that end that's convenient if you're going from your room to the Ticket and Transportation Center. Enjoy your stay--I hope you love the Poly as much as we did!

We spent 7 nights last summer on the third floor right next to the elevator. We never heard any noise from it. We loved the convenience of being right next to the lounge and stairwell.

Hi Had l532, two weeks ago, we had the lush garden in front of our patio, we loved it, and it seemed to give a bit of privacy while sitting on our balcony. We were I think 2 or 3 rooms from the elevator, heard nothingn. Loved the ducks and bunnies, coming to visit us.
