We just got home yesterday and I'm so excited to tell you all about our experience with Poly CL. In case you don't remember or didn't read my previous question about Poly CL with food allergies, IPO had responded to my email question about food allergies with a generic email stating that they couldn't guarantee no cross contamination of the club level food and they included a link to Garden Grocer with the suggestion that we pick up our own food for our kids. Our kids have long lists of allergies/intollerance (DD12 can't have gluten, milk, eggs, yeast, citrus, peanuts or MSG; DD10 can't have milk, citrus, cranberry, blueberry, peanuts, hazelnuts, brazilnuts, lima beans, sesame, raw carrots, raw apple or pear skins). I went expecting to be buying the kids food for the room while DH picked up some stuff in the lounge.
Well, I don't want to say too much because it would be very easy for people to take advantage but let me just say that they went above and beyond my wildest expectations. I was SOOO happy with how well they took care of my girls. The chefs REALLY understood about food allergies and were really wonderful. I'm so spoiled now and I'm not sure I ever want to stay anywhere else. There's no reason to question if there will be anything safe to eat in the Poly CL if you have multiple food allergies.
I would warn anybody who's very sensitive to peanuts that there are uncrustables in the lounge every night so if you're concerned about sticky fingers rubbing some peanut butter on tables and chairs, I wouldn't hang out there for safety reasons. Our peanut issue is the mildest one for both of my girls and I don't even worry about cross contamination on that one plus they have no contact allergies so we didn't need to worry about that sort of thing. I know some of you do have that issue so I wanted you to be aware. If you wouldn't eat at 'Ohana because of the peanut sauce and kids roaming the restaurant then you don't want to be in the Poly club lounge either.
