hmmmm....this is kind of a tough question, because I think it all depends on what view you have/want and what things are most important to you when staying in a resort. hawaii supposedly has the best views, but the entire building is concierge. tahiti is supposed to have the best lagoon and magic kingdom views, but some people don't like it because they feel that it is too far from the transportation area and the pool. a lot of people on here seem to like tokelau as a nice central location with nice garden views. but, it is somewhat close to the luau, so others have mentioned that it can be a bit loud during the luau. i think there are pros and cons of each longhouse. so, i think it kind of depends on what view you have and what is most important.

just as an example, DH and I are visiting in April. We have a lagoon view room, and this is a child free trip, so we would really like some privacy, peace, and quiet. So, we requested the Tahiti longhouse. we know the walk will be further for us to the pool, transportation, etc. but, we wanted a little r&r, so this is the one we're hoping for. :)

Our family (2 adults and 2 young boys) really likes Samoa. It is centrally located, right smack in the middle of it all - but I never found it to be too loud or too hectic. Even with all the activity going on at the Poly, I think the entire resort always has a very "serene" feel to it. We like the side with the Volcano Pool view. In addition to the pool, you can also see out into the lagoon, the GF, the GCH, and other Poly longhouses. Samoa is just seconds away from the GCH with the monorail, shops and restaurants and only a short walk to the TTC. We appreciate the feel of being "immersed" in Disney!

We just returned from 9 nites at the Poly, and we were in (we requested it ) Tahiti and loved it ! Close enuf to the TTC and the GCH, and right next to the "quiet" pool. Good luck !! :thumbsup2

We stayed in Fiji on our last trip, overlooking the marina. It was considered a garden view but we still had a great oblique view of the Contemporary and beautiful panorama of the GCH and the volcano pool. Plus it was a three-minute walk to the food court to refill our mugs. It's not the quietest longhouse, with the marina on one side and the Luau Cove on the other, but it was a good tradeoff for the location/view. Would definitely request it again.

For a garden view Tokelau. Otherwise any MK view building would be good. Hawaii lagoon view is the best though, it's concierge.

I think that the Hawaii building is in the best location. I like being closer to the GCH but that is just my opinion. :)

Sorry to be contradictory, but Tokelau is nowhere near luau cove. Perhaps you were thinking Aotearoa?

The absolute BEST longhouse at the Polynesian is......the one YOU stay in. Honestly each longhouse has its own advantages and disadvantages. So don't set yourself up for disappointment by getting your heart set on any one particular location! Have a great trip!:goodvibes

Asking what longhouse at the Polynesian is the best is like asking what color is the best. Everyone has a favorite, so you'll never get the same answer twice!
