Poly wins for us!

checked into a 2BR at BCV from Dec 18-26. After my parents flew back we started week 2 and Then came over to a studio at the Poly.

BCV is old and dated. Walking to Epcot was nice but we MUCH prefer being over here in a studio if you can believe it!

This is our 3rd Xmas down here and the best yet. Not crowded and the weather is BEAUTIFUL. Gates are working as I sit here and type at the pool-looking forward to the next week. May have to add on even more here after all!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Poly stay in August. We do not own there, but we will try to stay there again!

We absolutely love the Poly. Love the style and it's close proximity to the Transportation Center. Looking forward to when they finally finish contruction on the other pool.

It's good to see some positive comments for the Poly! My wife and I have stayed there pre-DVC and will stay again in Feb. We liked it and are looking forward to our next visit. We may learn to like it even more now that it's DVC!

We just stayed there as the first half of a split stay and were extremely happy that we bought a small resale there! We honestly had nothing to complain about other than the ferry horns...those are a deal breaker for me unless I can find medical grade earplugs, lol.

I'm really looking forward to our stay there next June - since we only ever stay in studios I think we'll be as happy as pigs in slop with these spacious studios (other than the pics I've seen that look like they still made the kitchenette sized as an afterthought). Our DS always hates the pullout sofas so I'm curious if he will fit on that flip down murphy bed (he's 6 ft but only MAYBE 120 Lbs)? We'll likely be driving on that trip & I was considering bringing an extra twin sized egg crate thingy that we have to put on it in case he wants to sleep there.

We only booked a standard view so my next chore is to figure out where to request to be (not that it ever seems to work out to GET the request).

We absolutely loved our Poly stay in mid November 2015. We will definitely stay there again and book a lake view again. It was great sitting on the balcony in the evenings watching the fireworks. Or watching the ferries and boats on the water during the day. We loved it. The room was great it was hard to believe it was a studio.

So glad to hear that, lots of people have seemed unhappy with it. Staying with my dd in the first week of May. Standard view studio.

Hello OP here! The week has been great. We found we took the boat much more than the monorail-nicer experience and much less crowded. The pool has been wonderful-crowded but not bad.

Interesting to notice other guests-example-one father and his young son left towels and a paper on their loungers for over 3 hours. Only came back fully dressed as they thought they had left something (not the paper). Lesson-Rude guests stay at the resort also folks! Those were prime chairs that were unoccupied all afternoon until someone just moved it aside....

Also last night-no wristbands for beach access. We went straight to beach at 11 after coming back from Epcot. It was crowded and no one was checking IDs. There was the section with chairs for club level, otherwise it was open. We were happy to watch from our room. Spectacular show!

The Poly sometimes restricts the beach area during the special fireworks like NYE or 4th of July shows as the crowds sometimes get out of hand. Evidently they didn't think it was necessary this time.
