Initial booking at Poly for 7 month window for F&W so far (Sept 25 - Oct 9 as of today) is booking full every day. And this is before there are really many Poly owners to fill up the 11 month window.

Some of that I'm sure is newness. That will be counter weighted by more owners booking at 11 months as more people own, so at best, that's a wash.

Poly is a monorail resort undergoing a top/bottom renovation. Plus, the TTC monorail to EPCOT is closer to the DVC villas than the GCH monorail stop. Plus, Poly to EPCOT monorail will deliver you to Future World start of day. My guess is that Poly studios during F&W will only be available at 11 months, or possibly, for serious reservation walkers.

Take a look at the RAT for 3 weeks demand for Poly since the 7 month window opened for F&W. PVB during last three months of the year is almost certainly going to be a home resort only option.

I think a lot of people bought BCV a and BWV so they/we could walk over to EPCOT. I wouldn't buy POly for F&W. Just saying.

But just saying we did move our 4 night reservation from the BCV studio to a Lakview Poly studio cause my gals figured this may be their only chance to score a room.

I'm sure we made someone's wait list fulfilled.

PVB has better Epcot access than BLT and VGF. However, I am not sure it has better Epcot access than other non-Epcot resorts. Most resorts, it is a bus ride away. PVB is a short walk and monorail away. For those with strollers, the monorail to Epcot may be preferred over a bus ride.

Personally, I look at PVB as a great resort for the F&W plus MNSSHP combination. We added on at PVB with plans to stay at PVB for F&W, MNSSHP, MVMCP, and/or Candlelight Processional every 2-3 years.

I like BWV and love BCV. However, the transportation to MK seems worse than all the other WDW DVC resorts we have stayed at. Not sure why, but the buses seem less frequent for some reason. It may be bad timing, but that's been our experience over several stays.

It's funny, I own at BCV and we bought a Poly fixed week during F&W. So, our plan for now is to go to PVB studio during the Fall and BCV 1BR during the Spring.

Even though I bought BCV in part for F&W, I like the idea of my F&W trip being automatically booked every year. Also, we bought the week that straddles MNSSHP and MVMCP so we can do one some years, the other in others. In that way, PVB will serve as both a F&W resort, and as an MK party night resort. SAB will be better in May than November anyway.

Edit to add: I used my 2014 points to book a few PVB lake view studio days at the end of my previously planned June BCV trip, and to add a Bungalow day to the end of my Sept Poly trip (I opted out of my fixed week for 2015 and booked late Sept instead).

I may have to have a Disboards' Bungalow Party at the end of Sept!

Not many Poly owners but also not many villas available to book using points. Rooms are added to the timeshare program as sales progress. Only about 1/3 of the DVC studios are available to book right now.

As for the buses from BCV to MK, just for the parties..one word CAB...from the contemporary...much cheaper than buying points at the Poly and less leg walking through future world up the ramp to the monorail and the walk back to the Poly.... I'll stick with my BCV and walk in the back door of EPCOT for F&W and F&G. Just MHO.

I have to say that while OP is right that F&W is pretty booked, I'm surprised by the availability of studios overall in September. Right now a Lake View studio can be had for essentially the entire month prior to F&W. I don't recall this level of availability for any other recent resort while it was under construction. Even BLT when it was new, we had waitlisted a studio and the waitlist came through as points were added to the system based on sales.

I'll take it though- booked 8 nights in a studio just because we could, basically.. not even sure if we'll keep it, but just in case.

Cab is certainly an option to MK. That requires the monorail, ferry, or walk to MK. They can't drop you off at the bus stop.

BCV is a great resort. FWIW, we have been known to take a cab to BC from other resorts and walk into WS that way.

I am doing a weekend at Poly during F&W, but I expect it will be one and done and I will be back to my BCV. Personally I find the monorail a royal pain so I doubt I will be thrilled with the transport to F&W.

I expect one the "newness" wears off a lot of folks, like me, won't be back for a while : )
