I've stayed at the POFQ before and loved it. Of course, I was there during the week of 9/11 last year and it was pretty empty...no lines for the bus, etc.

we're planning a trip for possibly next spring and are thinking of upgrading a bit and doing the Polynesian. Any thoughts on this? Is it worth the extra $1800 for 7 nights at the Poly? (The price is within our budget still, but the logical part of me says is the Poly really that much nicer?) Any opinions, thoughts on this? I love the idea of the tropical/Hawaiian/South Sea setting and the idea of (possibly) getting a view of the Castle. Thanks! :)

You may be able to get a discount next year at the Poly. This year there were some really good ones. For AP rates POFQ was running $79 + tax and Poly $164 + tax (garden view) so that is not a huge difference. Not an $1,800 difference anyway:) I don't think I could ever pay that much of a difference since our last two all-inclusive trips to Mexico and Turks and Caicos cost that much for 7 nights for both my husband and I! That was with air, hotel, all drinks, all meals and water sports. Even diving was included in Turks (Beaches).
