Hello DISers

I'm sure it's been asked before,but....

What is THE best Lagoon View room and/or longhouse at the Poly.

I've only stayed concierge there and loved it,but we just want a standard lagoon view this trip.

Thanks for help!!!::MinnieMo

We love the Tahati building!! A beautiful walk along the beach to fill those mugs in the morning. But a short walk to all the transportation at the ticket & transportation center! Gives you all kinds of options! We actually just got back last week, we went garden view to save money.

Actually Tahiti was concierge while they were renovating the Hawaii bldg. Its a regular bldg now and it really has an awesome view of the Castle!!!

So maybe I should try fot tahiti? I was thinking maybe Tuvalu.

I'm still in need of help!

When we went last August, I really wanted to stay in Tahiti. But, since Hawaii was being worked on, Tahiti was the concierge bldg. So, we stayed in Tokelau. Tahiti is now a regular bldg. That would be my choice for a lagoon or garden view. Just love that bldg.

Thanks Kim!:bounce:

Yes, you can. At the TTC you can hop the express monorail to MK or the resort one that makes stops at the Polynesian and GF before the MK. If you're walking to the TTC,I'd tke the express:D or the ferry or walk to the Polynesian dock and take the little boats.:boat:

To the OP, I'd pick Tahiti.

My wife and I have our own room. Sister and her friend have a room, brother has 3 kids (12,11,7) and my parents (72,69). We're reseverd in the Hawaii bldg. Is this the best for view and still be close to the pool?

I want to get lagoon view rooms for my sister and me and 1st floor for parents and brother's family - good idea?

Will Poly accomodate?

If you are reserved in the Hawaii Building - you must have reserved concierge rooms. Did you reserve lagoon view or garden view - that will determine only what side of the building you are on. The lagoon view rooms are significantly more expensive, and they rarely will upgrade you from garden to lagoon.

That said, you should have no trouble at all requesting a ground floor room for your parents and brother's family, since your parents are elderly and may have mobility issues. The rooms on the first floor have a patio, while the rooms on the 3rd floor have a full balcony. The rooms on the second floor only have a slider - not a stand-on balcony. Sounds like you and your sister will want to request 3rd floor, although you may like being on the first floor with the rest of your family.

The lounge for the Hawaii building is on the 2nd floor - that is where all the food offerings are served - It has a huge 2 story window that overlooks the lagoon, and Cinderella Castle!! Great for viewing the fireworks - they even pipe in the music!

Hawaii is right near both the themed pool and the quiet pool, and just a short stroll to the boat dock. It is a wonderful location.

woohoo !

Thanks for all the great info. My sister is in charge of this vacation and I'll pass it along to her.

Thanks again - I love this forum !

I had Aerotea ( how ever the heck you spell it) 3rd floor facing the lagoon...I paid for Standard, but could see the water perfect..loved sitting on the balcony at night and watching the fireworks.
Very close to GCH and Pool!
