Poly View Question

Only a few more days of my questions! LOL

I'm going to call to request a specific longhouse tonight, and price out club level (right now we're garden view). Primarily we don't care which longhosue we're in... but if possible we'd like to see wishes from our patio/balcony. Is this only possible by booking a MK view room or club level? I'm a bit confused by what rooms look where! With three small kids who will probably hit the sack early some nights, it might be nice for my hubby and I to view the fireworks from just outside our room. Any suggestions?

We just stayed at the Poly and only had a garden view. To be honest, I preferred it! The houses on the beach that were considered Club suites and MK view, I would have become aggravated. There's no "curfew" for the beach. One night, We decided to take a midnight stroll, and there were kids and families all over the beach. Needless to say, they weren't quiet. We have two small children as well (during our stroll they were with my parents..lol), and each night, we went and they sat in the hammock and they watched. Also, some of the ground floor suite rooms, have bushes and trees to provide privacy outside the sliding doors. You'd have to walk out and around them....I would say you don't have to stay in those rooms, but if you insist...The club suites are the best ones. They are dead on with the castle and the speakers are directly outside those rooms on the beach...

That's a great advice, thanks so much! I honestly hadn't thought about hitting the beach with the kids to watch it, but that will be our plan!

No problem!! My kids were 2 and 3 at the time, and of course..IT'S DISNEY! Earliest time we went to bed, was about 9:30 and that was after we watched Wishes! I do think that once, my daughter fell asleep in the hammock, but my son watched it. The other great thing about the garden rooms vs. suite rooms was the distance to the pool. The suite rooms are close to the pool, so again..lots of noise. My feeling is..I'm on vacation. When I'm in the room I want to relax. Not listen to screaming...lol Have fun!! The Poly is one of the best! You MUST MUST MUST try one of the drinks that's in the pineapple (I forgot what it's called!) but you can get it in the bar at Ohana. It was great! I'm not really into alcohol, and they made it so that it didn't taste like it at all! YUM!
