Poly TPV Club or BLT one bedroom villa?

I have stayed at both options. Hands down with a family I pick BLT. With just 2 or 3 of us I pick CL.

The extra bathroom was a big help, we enjoyed soaking in the huge tub in our bathing suits watching tv, the laundry was handy(swore I'd never do laundry but was so convenient),

having my coffee in the morning on the balcony with a great view! I could go on and on! Loved BLT for family trips.

We stayed 3 nights with 5 of us at Poly and it worked out without a lot of fuss. I should note that none of us are bathroom hogs or take much time getting ready while at WDW. We asked for a ground floor room, so the kids could go out the sliding doors and play outside a bit. But with TPV, you might not be on ground floor.

Plus, going from BLT to AoA might feel like a downgrade because BLT is pretty great. Going from a single room at Poly to the suite at AoA might be a more pleasant transition--even though you are going from a deluxe to a budget, you are going from a single room to a suite. So keep that in mind.

Poly CL is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong with the choices you have here. Just don't try to split three ways--that's too much!

I'm so appreciative for all the advice! I am going to be at WDW for 11 days. My plan is to stay at Poly 2 days, BLT 4 days and AofA 5 days. I would have preferred to end it with BLT but the rooms are unavailable, that is why I chose AoA. Do you think the triple split will ruin the vacation?

I've never done a triple split stay, but I think it will be fun getting to try three different resorts as long as everyone is prepared ahead of time for all of the moving around! You might could pack for your first two nights at the Poly in your carry on bags to make it easier, luggage wise. I've stayed at all three of those resorts and they are all awesome for different reasons! You can let bell services move your luggage for you, or get a cab or uber to transfer your luggage yourself. Good luck- you will have a great time!!pixiedust:

I know that this thread was from last year, but just wanted to add in case anyone else was looking: a few years ago we stayed with two teenagers (son and daughter) at the Poly Club Level. Hands down a great decision for us.

There were three beds, the extra room of the lounge was fantastic to have, ease of use for all of us to walk to the TTC, take the Monorail or the shuttle boat was great, and it was so hot in August that the breakfast/evening apps/beer/drinks were almost enough for our appetites. Our son "won" a lake "racer boat" half an hour, when at a pool contest, and he and our daughter would want to sleep in while my husband and I visited some of the parks early.

It was also somewhat romantic for my husband and myself - the lounge was much quieter at breakfast than the quick service place, and there was much more privacy for all. While we could have just brought snacks with us, at the time because of a special Disney was having, the cost of 2 beers per adult, plus breakfast, plus snack, plus appetizers (we went to two "fancy" restaurants, and a couple of counter service places over 5 days) was definitely a wash - we most likely would not have ordered 2 beers a person, but would have headed over to Trader Sam's and dropped even more money on just one drink a person. Also, my son ate a lot. He was a teenager. He LOVED having all the food choices there.

With teens, if you are not splurging for two bedrooms, I feel like club level is a really good value, especially at the Poly because of ease of transportation for everybody.

My other concern, I think you will be disappointed going from a deluxe resort to a value. Any chance you can change the order and stay at AoA first?[/QUOTE]

This was my thought exactly. I've stayed at the values twice - once With my parents in 1994, again when my kids were very young in 2008 (they were 9mo, 2, and 5, so we could stay there)

My kids are now almost 10, 11, and 14 - the moderates ad deluxe resorts are much better for this age group in my opinion. I think they will be disappointed if you go deluxe to value. If you must do both - reverse the order. Better yet, go to POR instead of the value.
