Poly to Epcot

We plan to walk to TTC and take monorail to Epcot. Have FP for character spot in FW at 9:40-10:40. Trying for a more leisurely morning since P&P is the night before. Breakfast will be in the room. We will need to go through bag check with a stroller.

What is the best case scenario time-wise that we could leave our room at Poly and be at the Character Spot by 10:00-10:15? I realize we could have a wait for a monorail or a broken down monorail, etc. But in general, would leaving our room by 9:15 provide enough time?

Yep, 9:15 should be good .

I would leave a bit more time. Depending on which building you are in at the Poly, the walk could be a bit longer (up to 10 minutes). You will have to go through bag check at TTC (5 minutes). Wait for Monorail (5 minutes). Monorail trip from TTC to Epcot (20 minutes). Once you arrive at Epcot, you will need to go through bag check again (ugh, 10+ minutes, we have found this to be one of the longer bag check parks.) Then walking to Character Spot (5 min).

Maybe leave at 9:00 am to try to get there closer to the beginning of your window, and then misfortunes would be on the back side of the window.

But recognize, I am a 'leave early to allow for any disaster kind of guy".

Thanks that's good to know the timeline. Who knows - kids may be up early and ready to go in which case we'll just go! It's their first park day so they'll be excited. But at least I know to get moving by 9:00.
