Hi,

I'm going to be staying at the Poly - the Tahiti building, lagoon view. Are there certain rooms I should avoid - perhaps those having a really bad view (tree in the way) or noisy (too close to elevator or ice machine)?

Thanks!

We just spent our honeymoon in the Tahiti building and were in room 2021. No noise at all. There are trees along the beach, but we still had a really nice view of the castle. Some of the fireworks were blocked from view by tree branches, but you can always walk right out to the beach and watch them from there. If I went again I would request the Tahiti building, probably even the same room!

I don't know that they let you request specific rooms--we stayed there last year, wanted the third floor, requested it (faxed the request, called, etc.). Well, we got the first floor, lagoon side. We ended up deciding this was perfect--we loved being able to walk right out of the room onto the patio and then the white sand beach. Just lovely. We also had a party of 11, including young children. So, we went this past Jan., and tried like heck to get the same 3 rooms. This time, we got second floor on the other "half" (i.e., closer to the main lodge), still faing the lagoon. you know what? It was still paradise!

We had a great room. Can not remember the room number though. We were two rooms to the right of the hammock on the ground floor. Almost directly in front of the Castle. Absolutely gorgeous!!
