Poly - Standard View Room or Studio?

I'm currently booked in a Standard View Studio at the Poly for Marathon Weekend in January. I could do a Standard View Room for the same price.

It's just me, so the double shower thing in the Studios isn't necessary.
But on the flip side, it's just me, so 2 queen beds isn't really necessary either.

For the same price, which would you do and why?

TIA!

I would choose the studio. Extra floor space with the sofa bed closed. It gives you room to stretch. A microwave to heat a damp towel for sore muscles. A guarantee of either a patio or balcony (regular hotel rooms have no balcony if they’re on the second floor). Free access to laundry room to wash stinky clothes from the race.

Thanks. The second floor thing occurred to me after I posted. But I wasn't sure if they added balconies for the second floor studios. Good to know as I'm definitely requesting an upper floor. Reduce the chance of slithery things being out there. LOL. I see pictures and videos of patios at all the resorts (while doing research) and seeing the shrubbery and foliage that is outside those patios... I am the person who would open the drapes to see something coiled out there and it would be all over.

(Yes, I know they CAN climb. I just like to think they are generally lazy and will choose NOT to climb.)

Just FYI, the three longhouses they converted to DVC/villas were built after the original 1971 longhouses and included balconies as part of their construction (unlike the original 1971 longhouses). The were also built with much wider hallways than the original longhouses as well.

I’d keep the villa for coffee reasons similar to your recent posts in the Poly thread. :-)
